Dirty Rebound by Mira Lyn Kelly
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I loved ‘Dirty Rebound,’ I loved Rux, I loved Cammy and did I say I loved ‘Dirty Rebound’!
This was 💯 my type of hockey romance I dare anyone who is a sports fan not to fall in love with this story of best friends to lovers. From the start of this book I was hooked, I couldn’t put it down I just wanted more of Cammy and Rux and I shed a tear when their story was finished.
Mira Lyn Kelly is new to me I hadn’t read the first two books in the series but that didn’t matter I just lived and breathed this couple until the last page.
Cammy’s sister is married to the Captain of the Slayers Hockey team so Rux and Cammy have know each other awhile. From the moment they meet they were instant friends Rux spending time with Cammy and her son — she is a single parent who’s ex is now back on the scene trying to make amends for leaving her with a baby when they were teenagers. But throughout all this her one constance is Rux and the friendship they have. Rux never wants marriage he likes to keep things light thats why he values his friendship with Cammy above all things and he just adores her son. But when Cammy needs help pretending she has a boyfriend Rux is happy to step in — anybody seeing them together would think they are a couple anyway. But when Cammy starts to have more then friends feelings for Rux she knows she needs to step back — she wants the white picket fence and the happily ever after and she knows that isn’t what her best friend wants and above she values her friendship.
Rux can’t work out while he is getting so upset that Cammy’s ex is coming around playing happy families he should be happy for her — shouldn’t he? But while he tries and sorts out what his feeling Cammy’s ex is waiting in the wings to give Cammy the white picket fence.
